"I'm a Christian because..."

Daniel the other day suddenly announced: "I'm a Christian."

We were eating dinner at table, and Mum said "you are, are you?"

Daniel: "Yeah. I'm a Christian because.....I look like Jesus."

Well...you can't beat that reasoning!

So
I said to Daniel, because he has a thing about not going to assemblies
at school because he doesn't like hearing everyone sing hymns: "So does
that mean you want to go to church? Most Christians go to church."

"No no no," he said, "I want to be a Christian at home."

Bless him.

Time
to share my children's Bible with him I think and start explaining to
him about what it means to be a Christian. Maybe I can get him into a
church at Christmastime when they send out open invitations for carol
services, if he's serious about this. Then again, this could just be
because they're predominantly Christian worship at school. He always
joins in with my Sabbat activities at home and accepts my work with
angels, magick, etc. It's gonna be an interesting journey....

We all have reasons that seem irrational at times
