facebook share

I am trailing this for a little while to see if it increases visitors and members to our site.

Basically you will have notice that at the end of the welcome message at the top of the screen there is a facebook button, if you click that a box will appear that will allow you to post a comment to facebook from here with the sites address underneath it!!

I think this could be really good - so give it a go and see what you think, we will give it a week or so and see if we like it, if anyone has any concerns please let me know

if you want to go to the group or fan page from here you will need to copy the whole of the address and paste it into the address bar...

Not sure if its made any difference to our boards....

Unfortunately, I wont be able to join till they make the option of fan pages to be hidden from my profile...they option isn't currently available and I don't want my friends and family finding me here.

I understand hun, you know I didnt really think it through in that respect, I suppose it is because I am very open with all my family about things like this - they may not be active members here but they all support me....

There is no option to not show on your profile - shall I see if I can change anything on it? about where it can be seen etc?

If its gonna cause people to worry - I would rather get rid of them all group, fan page and share....up to you guys..

I read they have plans to make the fan pages hidden from your profile, but god knows how long it will take.
I just dont want to be identified as I post a lot of stuff on here which is quite personal. Some of my family already know that I use AngelMutley on some sites so they would instantly know who I am.
I might join under one of my fake profiles though, to show my support

That would be great! I do not go on FB much at all anymore, too much drama at times, and I had a few energy vampires there also.
But, I do hope that it draws more members here...

I have now joined the fan page! Facebook set it so you can hide what you Like....it means that noone can see any of my profile info anymore, but at least I can become a fan of things without fear if it causing me problems

I cancelled my facebook account.

I friended one of the pages before, not sure which one.


I don't like FB much but all my friends are on there and ppl I never hear from or see are there. I even have a twitter account, i go to it a lot but rarely tweet anymore but I get a lot of info from those I follow.

I still have a myspace, which I prefer over FB but noone is on it anymore :-\

Helen, the "Spirituality in Everyday Life" group needs updating; apparently FB is changing the way it handles groups. There's a notice on the page that says the group is going to be archived, and there are instructions for using the new format so the group can continue.

I have taken the facebook link (to connect a topic straight to facebook)down, but the group and the page are still active.

The group won't be active much longer, though, Helen -- unless you started a new one with the new format, and I just missed it..?

I should have said that I have upgraded the group and it mentions that it may take a little while for all changes to be be apparant.
