Humpback Whale found in the RIVER THAMES!!

I am disturbed when I see articles like this as there are only 2 explainations - 1, it has got lost whilst at sea or 2, it was planted or led there.

Either one is just terrible, but what must it take for a humpback whale to get lost? and end up in an area with no food to sustain it?
