I was talking with Plur about my connection with the Earth regarding being a walk-in and being a sailor (well back then at least) and I had this sort of thought...a sort of 'realization' regarding myself and all this 'spiritual stuff':
Even while aboard the U-Boat - we still were 'in tune' with nature - we
had to be aware of lunar cycles, the weather, salinity layers in the
ocean...the tides (particularly at Scapa Flow). I guess with me is that,
no offense to pagans and the like - but I don't 'need' or 'require' any
sort of 'path' to connect with the Earth...like those paths do. I have
always told the friend whom I attended WWII events with that I've always
felt closer to 'God' out at sea than anywhere on land. The 'immense'
vast sea - seemingly infinite...being a physical representation of
Source itself - and it is Source in a sense...because we have all come
from Mother Sea. Our origins, physically, are in the ocean.
I understand that it's not the best wording, I never claimed to be Herr Eloquent Speaker/Typer, but there it is...
